Walk-off Win at Muzzy against Nighthawks
Blues earn second victory over Nighthawks this season

The Blues defeat the Upper Valley Nighthawks in a walk-off win. Bristol secured a 9-8 victory over Upper Valley.
After three scoreless innings for both teams, in the bottom of the fourth, Cal Chance (UMass Lowell) hit a home run to right field, also scoring Christopher DiPrima (Yale) and giving the Blues a 2-0 lead. However, the Nighthawks began to close the gap at the top of the fifth, when Jonathan Holt (St. Joseph's) singled to left field, scoring Alejandro Puig (Dartmouth). This was followed by a sacrifice fly to center field by Frank Kelly (High Point), scoring Tim Dickinson (St. Joseph's).
In the bottom of the fifth, the Blues were hot again and took the lead. Antonio Ducatelli (Fairfield) doubled down the left-field line, scoring Nick Flores (VCU), Evan Menzel (UCONN), and Colin Crowley (Winthrop), giving the Blues a 5-2 lead.
After two run-less innings for the Nighthawks, they began to close the gap when Nick Quagliato (Boston College) singled up the middle, scoring Cameron Boardman (NJIT) and Holt. James Love (Eastern Illinois) then scored on a wild pitch to tie the game. At the top of the eighth, Holt hit a sacrifice fly to right field, scoring Ethan Brown (Dartmouth) and giving the Nighthawks the lead, 6-5.
In the bottom of the eighth, Nicholas Francuzenko (Rider) helped tie the game again at 6-6 with a sacrifice fly to right field, scoring DiPrima. However, Upper Valley took the lead one last time after AJ DeMastrie (Dartmouth) singled through the right side, scoring Love and Alex Kelsey (University of Kentucky), giving Upper Valley a two-run lead.
The Blues were not slowing down either when DiPrima struck again, singling up the middle, advancing Flores to third and scoring Menzel. Martavius Thomas (University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff) followed with a walk after being hit by a pitch, scoring Flores and tying the game one last time. The Blues secured the victory after Francuzenko singled up the middle, advancing Thomas and Chance to second and third and scoring DiPrima once again.
Ethan Marzo (Boston College) came onto the mound hot for the Blues, not letting the Nighthawks score any runs in the first three innings. Marzo allowed only one hit and struck out three. Liam Diehl (Towson) and James Mulvaney (Fairfield) each allowed only one hit and no runs. Diehl also struck out one. Sam Michel (Northwestern) and Jack Ruditzky (Rider) each struck out two Nighthawks.
