Bio

A Washington, CT native and standout at Shepaug Valley High School, Evan went on to star at Central Connecticut State University, graduating as the program’s all-time leader in wins and saves. During his time at CCSU, he also played for the North Adams SteepleCats, gaining valuable experience facing high-caliber collegiate hitters. He went on to a nine-year professional career, making his MLB debut with the San Diego Padres in 2011 and later pitching for the Oakland Athletics and Seattle Mariners.

Across 145 major-league appearances, Evan built a reputation as a reliable late-inning reliever, contributing heavily to Oakland’s 2012 AL West championship run.

Since retiring from professional baseball, Evan has dedicated himself to coaching and player development, working with high school and collegiate pitchers to refine mechanics, enhance recovery, and elevate their game IQ. We’re thrilled to have him bring his experience, energy, and expertise to our program.
